Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, extended festive greetings on Monday to the children across the province on the International Children’s Day. On Sunday, Xi wrote back to the students from the Xin'an Primary School of Huai’an city to wish children all over the country a happy International Children's Day.
Governor Wu Zhenglong visited an elementary school and a kindergarten in Nanjing City and extended festive congratulations. He hoped that the children would bear in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s care and instructions,draw strength from the inheritance of the red gene, and grow up sturdily as a socialist builder and successor with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical education, art and labor.
When visiting Jiangdongmen Primary School, Wu Zhenglong said that the country and the family are closely linked. Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China, and only a strong country can ensure a rich family.
He hoped that the teachers would interpret the vivid stories of revolutionary cause, try to solve the urgent problems of students and parents by studying party history and do practical things, and insist on establishing morality and fostering people, and promote all-round development.
When visiting the Olympic Gymnasium sub-campus of Nanjing No. 1 Kindergarten, Wu Zhenglong hoped that the kindergarten would continue to run practical classes so that children could get close to the nature, protect the nature, enlighten the sense of work, and experience the glory of labor.
During his visit to the elementary school and the kindergarten, Wu Zhenglong demanded further efforts to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, important instructions and important reply, take care of the growth of children, run a satisfactory education for the people, and let every child strive to achieve comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, and labor.
