Lou Qinjian, secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, visited Xin'an Primary School in Huai'an city Monday afternoon and extended festive congratulations to the children there. He hoped that the children will follow General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions and become patriotic and progressive young people in the new era.
Xin'an Primary School was founded in 1929 by Tao Xingzhi, a teacher acclaimed as the people’s educator. In 1935, the school's teachers and students formed the children's revolutionary group Xin'an Touring Troupe to publicize the awareness of resisting Japanese aggression for national salvation. They experienced the exercise and test of blood and fire when traveling throughout most of China. They were praised by proletarian revolutionaries such as Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai.
When presiding over a symposium, Lou Qinjian conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply to the Young Pioneers. The children said that Grandpa Xi’s response to their letter made them extremely excited and proud.
Principal Zhang Dayong and teacher Pi Li said that they must keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, educate the young pioneers to understand the history of the party from an early age, thank the party for its kindness, and let the red gene and revolutionary spirit be passed on from generation to generation.
Lou Qinjian said that juveniles are the hope of the country and the future of the nation, and the healthy growth of young people has always been a matter of great importance to the party and the state.
Lou Qinjian hopes that the students will keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, inherit and carry forward the glorious revolutionary tradition, and strive to become qualified socialist builders and successors.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hoped that the children will buckle the first button of their lives, consciously learn to practice the core socialist values, actively inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese virtues, master life skills, keep exercising, take an active part in labor, forge an indomitable will, and strive to become a talent that can be a pillar of responsibility.
Lou Qinjian hoped that the children of the province will earnestly study the spirit of the Xin'an tour group, realize that they can have a good life today under the leadership of the party, and appreciate the superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, so as to lay a solid foundation for building a great motherland and a beautiful homeland.
