The city of Taizhou hosted a forum Monday for businesspersons from the Yangtze River delta and Taiwan.
More than 300 entrepreneurs from the Yangtze River Delta and Taiwan conducted exchanges and discussions on how to strengthen industrial chain integration and innovation in electronic information, intelligent manufacturing, and rural revitalization under the new situation.
The forum saw the establishment of an alliance of small and medium-sized enterprises cooperation parks in the Yangtze River Delta for Taiwan businesses and 10 cross-strait contracts were signed.
In the first quarter, Jiangsu approved more than 170 Taiwanese investment projects with an agreed capital of US$1.46 billion. The trade volume between Jiangsu and Taiwan reached US$13.586 billion, achieving double-digit growth year-on-year.
As of the first quarter of this year, Jiangsu had registered 29 thousand Taiwan-funded projects. 6,460 projects reported an individual investment of more than US$10 million.
