  For Suzhou residents who are particularly fond of seasonal snacks, May is the time to eat Dumpling with Fried Meat Stuffing (炒肉团子, Chao Rou Tuan Zi).

  Here’s the good news for foodies: it has already been on the market!

  The dumpling looks like a tiny unsealed steamed bun, making it quite cute.

  You can see the stuffing directly through the opening. The stuffing mainly includes three meats and three vegetables, namely shelled shrimps, pork, dried shrimps, minced bamboo shoots, black fungus and day lily.

  You can have a taste of summer with just one bite.

  Each dumpling is freshly made. Special meat sauce must be poured into the dumpling before it is served. 

  And if you want it to take away, don’t forget to take a small bag of sauce as well.

  Up to 3,000 to 4,000 dumplings are sold in a single day. As the dumpling shops are struggling to keep up with the demand, only limited dumplings are available every day.

  This specialty is expected to stay in the market till September.
