Heads of the transportation authorities from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui met Tuesday in Nanjing to sign contracts on the accelerated development of integrated transportation in the Yangtze River Delta.
The transportation departments of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui agreed that this year they will strive to incorporate the LRT Yangtze River Delta, world-class airport clusters, world-class port clusters, Yangtze River Delta hub clusters, international integrated transportation hub clusters, and global international postal express hub clusters into the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network special plans.
Efforts will be made to promote the high-speed railway on the north bank of the Yangtze River and the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo railway, actively carry out transportation safety supervision, electronic waybill information resource sharing, develop trans-regional bus routes, and strive to realize the "all-in-one card" for public transportation in the Yangtze River Delta.
The four provincial regions signed the Yangtze River Delta Ship and Port Pollution Prevention and Control Cooperative Management Strategic Cooperation Agreement, Transportation Credit Integration Cooperation Agreement, and Smart Highway Construction Strategic Cooperation Agreement.
