Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu province, met Tuesday in Nanjing with Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, chairman of Hong Kong-based Sunwah Group.
Wu Zhenglong welcomed the visit of Choi Koon-shum, expressed his gratitude to Sunwah Group for its long-term contribution to Jiangsu's economic and social development, and conveyed the greetings of Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
He said Jiangsu will resolutely implement the guiding principle of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, accurately understand the new development stage, act on the new development philosophy and accelerate the establishment of the new development paradigm so as to comprehensively deepen reforms, expand opening up, and strive to promote high-quality development.
Wu Zhenglong hopes that both parties will continue to make good use of the Jiangsu-Hong Kong cooperation mechanism, and continue to deepen cooperation in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative， the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, and the establishment of a new development pattern for the country.
Jiangsu will create a first-class business environment, fully support the development and presence in Jiangsu of Hong Kong companies including Sunwah Group, and jointly make greater contributions to promoting Hong Kong's long-term stability and prosperity.
Choi Koon-shum thanked the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government for their support and assistance to the development of Sunwah Group. He said Sunwah is full of confidence in the future development of Jiangsu. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period,Sunwah will continue to increase investment and settle more high-quality projects in Jiangsu to better promote the high-quality development of Jiangsu.
