Since the beginning of 2021, Huai'an has strived to carry out various work such as industrial planning, project promotion, COVID-19 prevention and control, resumption of work and production. The industrial economy of Huai'an exhibits a steady trend of development.
In the first quarter, the added value of the industries above the designated size increased 31.8% year on year. Industrial power consumption was 3.092 billion kWh, up 47.2% year-on-year, ranking first in Jiangsu Province. The taxable invoice of the industrial enterprises above the designated size reached 65.902 billion yuan, an increase of 49.04% year-on-year, among which the 98 enterprises' and seven enterprises' taxable invoices exceed 100 million and one billion yuan respectively. The taxable invoiced sales of three leading industries, namely green food, new information technology, and new equipment manufacturing, were 15.438 billion, 7.667 billion, and 17.754 billion yuan respectively, with a year-on-year growth of 28.91%, 85.27% and 60.02%.
