The 1st international disaster relief expo in the Yangtze River Delta opened Friday in Shanghai to last till Sunday. JSBC has the story.

Intelligent fire fighting, unmanned aerial vehicle systems, high-rise escape, flood prevention and drought relief equipment were put up for exhibition, allowing the visitors to experience various disaster rescue scenarios.

In scenarios of fire rescue, digital plan, hazardous chemical disposal and rescue simulation, rescue equipment were applied to demonstrate the entire process of disaster relief and rescue through the use of AI and big data technology, presenting an integrated picture of urban emergency prevention and disaster relief.

Enterprises from Jiangsu exhibited many rescue drones. This new combination of "command vehicle + UAV" is equivalent to a fast-moving command and dispatch center, with stronger mobility, multi-scenario applications, and real-time inspection of areas that are difficult to reach by humans.

The Expo also set up a water safety theme exhibition area as the Yangtze River Delta is close to the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea and the Yangtze River, subjecting it to heavy water emergency rescue tasks.

This unmanned remote-controlled surveying and mapping boat can accurately formulate rescue plans for rescuers through big data analysis. It has played an active role in flood fighting and water rescue missions in Jiangsu over the past years.

435 emergency rescue equipment manufacturers from all over the country participated in the expo that is displayed over six exhibition areas. During the expo, a series of activities such as theme summit forum and on-site popular science interactive experience will be organized.
