2021 "Let the Chinese Dream Fly" Science Exhibition was held at Nanjing Shangqinhuai International Cultural Exchange Center recently. A number of blockbuster exhibits, including models of spacecraft for major space projects and lunar soil objects, have been unveiled, highlighting the brilliant achievements of China's space industry.
Swinging "arms," turning left and right... This active little guy is the well-known "Yutu rover" model. It followed Chang'e-3 into space and worked on the moon for 972 days, becoming the first rover to roll through the lunar dust in China. A few steps further,Queqiao relay satellite for Chang'e 4 mission to the far side of the moon, will hunt for radio emissions from the universe's infancy, study space weather, characterize the radio environment of the Earth-moon system and make a range of other measurements.
Gao Jingbo, Model developer
Chang’e 4 has landed on the far side of the moon
and thanks to the relay satellite Queqiao
it could realize the bidirectional signal transmission
which is a great contribution of Chinese scientists
to the lunar landing mission of mankind
In the center of the exhibition hall, the Chang'e 5 re-entry capsule, the parachute, and samples of lunar soil that followed the spacecraft to Earth were on display for the first time outside Beijing. These blockbuster exhibits marked the successful achievements of China's Chang'e lunar exploration project and placed a highly monumental significance, attracting many astronomy enthusiasts.
Liang Hanrui, A primary school student
I only watched the lander and rover on TV before
but now I’m so close to them
I feel very proud about our country
Within the 8,000-square-meter exhibition hall, people could also see the Long March Series Launch Vehicles, artificial Earth satellites, Shenzhou spacecraft, Tianwen No.1 probe combination and other models. The exhibition will last till May 5, citizens are welcomed to book and visit.
