The Top 100 Key Tasks of the Jiangsu Provincial Government in 2021 was officially issued recently, covering many aspects such as strengthening scientific and technological innovation, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, expanding domestic demand, promoting rural revitalization, and ensuring and improving people's livelihood.
"Focusing on strengthening scientific and technological innovation and speeding up breakthroughs in key core technologies" is listed as the top priority among the top ten tasks for 2021, The Provincial Government will accelerate the solution to deal with difficult problem, build a major innovation platform, support enterprise innovation, optimize the introduction of talent training, promote scientific and technological self-reliance, ensure the safety and smooth flow of the industrial chain and supply chain.
"Jiangsu Intelligent Manufacturing" will also usher in more opportunities. Jiangsu province will vigorously implement the "1000 enterprises upgrade" action plan, strive to create 50 national specialized enterprises and 10 national manufacturing individual champions; meanwhile Jiangsu will focus on promoting the integration of 5G +, big data, artificial intelligence and industries, foster 1-2 industrial demonstration base of data centers, and upgrade about 300 production lines to be the provincial intelligent demonstration workshops.
At the same time, a number of major infrastructure projects will be accelerated to take shape; 60,000 5G base stations, and full coverage of 5G networks in urban and rural areas and various industrial parks in the province will be built around the corner.
Ensuring and improving people's livelihood accounts for nearly one-fifth of this year's 100 key tasks. In the employment guarantee, the province will provide targeted assistance to retired military personnel, college graduates and urban unemployed to ensure that 120 thousand new urban jobs will be created this year. In the areas of education, health care and housing security, the province plans to build and expand about 150 public kindergartens and add about 15 high schools with three stars or above. The province will meanwhile promote the direct settlement of outpatient expenses with 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities); Subsidies for public rental housing will be granted to 90,000 households, and 120,000 units (rooms) will be raised for policy-oriented rental housing to ease the housing pressure.
This year, the province will also strengthen special financial support to do a good job of poverty eradication and rural revitalization. Within this year, 1,500 km of rural highways and 500 bridges will be rebuilt, production and marketing of agricultural products will be promoted to ensure that sales of agricultural and sideline products achieve the worth 250 million yuan. Another 30 key villages at the national and provincial levels for rural tourism will be built, more than 10 national and provincial tourism demonstration zones will be added, and 800 provincial traditional villages and buildings will be effectively protected, enabling farmers to get rich and enjoy their rural life.
