Recently, the unveiling ceremony of the National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing Jiangsu Branch and the Jiangsu Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing (Jiangsu Center for short), the launching ceremony of their headquarters building, and the Summit Forum of “Advanced Equipment Digital Design and Manufacturing” were held in Wuxi Huishan Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Demonstration Park in the Huishan Economic Development Zone. Jiangsu Center, as an upgraded R&D institution in Huishan District and a large platform of cluster innovation, will build a collaborative innovation circle for digital design and manufacturing in Jiangsu Province. By then, the university-government-industry-research institute cooperation pattern will be improved. Ding Sihai, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Wuxi, attended the events.
National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing Jiangsu Branch was the 8th national innovation institute of digital design and manufacturing. The Jiangsu Center was a provincial-level innovation center in the manufacturing industry, which was initiated by HUST-Wuxi Research Institute. According to Ding Han, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director of the National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing Jiangsu Branch and Director of the Jiangsu Center, the National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing Jiangsu Branch will focus on integrating technological R&D innovation and application and industrialization, so as to develop an innovation alliance covering the whole province with multiple members.
