The Party and government delegation from east China’s Jiangsu province went on an inspection tour in Hanzhong city of northwest China’s Shaanxi province on Tuesday and Wednesday on the continuing efforts for poverty alleviation cooperation between the two provinces.
The Jiangsu delegation was headed by Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, and Wu Zhenglong, Deputy Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Jiangsu Province.
Present during the inspection tour were Liu Guozhong, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress, and Zhao Yide, Deputy Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Shaanxi.
The Jiangsu party and government delegation visited AVIC Shaanxi Aircraft Corporation and AVIC Xifei Hanzhong Aviation Components Manufacturing Company to learn more about the aviation industry planning of Hanzhong City and the planning and construction of Hanzhong Aviation Smart New Town.
Lou Qinjian pointed out that Shaanxi's aviation and electronics industries have obvious advantages. Spearheaded by AVIC Shaanxi Aircraft Corporation, Hanzhong has planned the entire industrial chain to build an aviation industry cluster.
He further pointed out that as a major manufacturing province, Jiangsu should strengthen complementary advantages and deepen cooperation with Shaanxi, and comprehensively enhance the independent controllability of the industrial supply chain.
The Jiangsu delegation inspected the Guodong Industrial Park in Xixiang County. The key project of industrial cooperation between Jiangsu and Shaanxi has settled 5 apparel processing enterprises.
Lou Qinjian and Wu Zhenglong emphasized that enterprises in Jiangsu and Shaanxi must give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen cooperation, and jointly promote the sound development and transformation of the industry.
A rain gear community factory in Xixiang County produces 650,000 rain gear per year and employs more than 160 people. Lou Qinjian spoke highly of the factory’s effective solution to the problem of increasing employment of relocated farmers, reducing business costs, opening up the market, and realizing a win-win situation.
When inspecting Hanwang Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Group, Lou Qinjian emphasized that Jiangsu has strong R&D and production capabilities for traditional Chinese medicine, and Shaanxi has rich resources of traditional Chinese medicine,making it important and necessary for both parties to further strengthen the cooperation and encourage more Jiangsu Chinese medicine companies to invest in Shaanxi, open up markets, and build raw material bases.
When inspecting the Tianhan Wetland Park, the Jiangsu delegation expressed admiration for the remarkable effectiveness of the local protection of green water and green mountains.
Noting that Jiangsu has a large number and rich array of rivers and lakes, Lou Qinjian pointed out it is necessary for Jiangsu to learn from Hanzhong's experience in cleaning both banks of the Hanjiang River and promoting ecological construction, and to further carry out key tasks such as the protection of the Yangtze River and the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt to promote the construction of a beautiful Jiangsu.
The Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee emphasized that Jiangsu has excellent natural endowments and cultural heritage,making it necessary for the province to make greater efforts to protect the ecological environment, inherit historical context, promote the innovative development of excellent traditional culture, and create a cultural identity unique to Jiangsu.
During the in-depth inspection, the Jiangsu party and government delegation was deeply educated and enlightened, and they agreed that this was a trip of cultural experience, exploration of ideas, ecological experience, and investigation of people's livelihood.
