Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, met on Wednesday in Nanjing with Wang Xiangxi, Chairman and party secretary of the National Energy Group.
Noting that Jiangsu has a developed economy, large energy consumption but weak energy resources, Jiangsu will adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and earnestly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and the policies and decisions of the Party Central Committee and the State Council so as to accurately understand the new development stage, act on the new development philosophy and accelerate the establishment of the new development paradigm to drive high-quality development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
The Governor said the National Energy Group is a backbone energy company directly supervised by the central government, with leading technology and strong strength, and has a long-term and good foundation for cooperation with Jiangsu.
Entering a new stage and embarking on a new journey, both parties are expecting broader space for further deepening of bilateral cooperation between the two sides, he said.
He hoped that the both sides will strengthen cooperation in the areas of energy supply, green energy development, traditional energy transformation and upgrading, and integrated energy services during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period so as to jointly make greater contributions to achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
Noting that the two sides have great potential for deepening all-round cooperation, Wang Xiangxi said the National Energy Group will give full play to the advantages of the entire industry chain, strengthen strategic planning, increase scientific and technological innovation, speed up the implementation of projects, and make new and greater contributions to the construction of a new Jiangsu.
