In this spring, 45 major agricultural and rural projects in Wuxi with a total investment of 16.8 billion yuan started construction. The number and the investment scale of major projects increased than those in the previous year, among which the number of industrial integration and rural construction projects accounted for 67%, which actively promoted agricultural and rural modern construction in Wuxi.
On March 24, relevant briefing was held in Xixi Modern Agriculture Industrial Park in Huishan District. The major projects launched together this time focus on industrial integration, production and supply stability, key projects, green development and rural construction. Among them, 21 projects are industrial integration projects, with a total investment of more than 5.8 billion yuan.
By centering on the green development of agriculture, Ehu Town in Xishan District will carry out ecological transformation on the modern fishery industrial park and build new ecological slope protections and overflow dams to meet the new discharge requirements of aquaculture tail water. Six projects such as Yada Pastoral Complex Project with organic farming will promote green, healthy and sustainable development of agricultural production.
By focusing on the improvement of rural living environment, the 9 rural projects has a total investment of more than 9.6 billion yuan. For example, Xishan District will carry out comprehensive improvement on living environment in 19 important villages. Binhu District will build 5 demonstration sites of beautiful villages with lake bay features.
On the same day, Wuxi launched the action of jointly building "the cleanest village" to start the third-party governance on urban and rural environmental sanitation integration and build new villages for living, business and tourism.
