East China’s Jiangsu province will strengthen the supply chain and industrial chain of the integrated circuit industry, according to a promotion meeting held on Sunday in Jiangbei New District, Nanjing.
Li Xiaomin, Executive Deputy Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, pointed out that the integrated circuit industry is the core of the development of the information industry, a strategic, basic and leading industry that supports high-quality economic development and safeguards national security.
Li pointed out it is important for Jiangsu to coordinate the industrial layout, optimize the industrial chain, focus on supporting areas with basic conditions, actively support the growth of leading enterprises and industry leaders, further gather talents, technology, capital and other industrial elements, and strive to build industrial clusters with regional characteristics so as to enhance the core competitiveness of the province’s integrated circuit industry.
He urged greater efforts to strengthen policy support, earnestly implement relevant industrial policies, and effectively and orderly promote the high-quality development of Jiangsu's integrated circuit industry.
Qi Jiabin, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Provincial Government, demanded more efforts to innovate working mechanisms, give further play to the coordination role of the provincial leadership overseeing industrial chain system, adhere to problem orientation, promote the resolution of bottlenecks and common problems, and further increase targeted support for key enterprises and projects.
