Zhang Qingli, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, went on an inspection tour in Jiangsu from Friday to Sunday to learn about the implementation of the spirit of the central conference on the work of the CPPCC.
During its tour in Jiangsu, the CPPCC National Committee inspection team visited Suzhou and Nanjing where they exchanged views with and solicited opinions from officials at the grassroots communities.
Zhang Qingli pointed out that in September 2019, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the the central conference on the work of the CPPCC pointed out the direction and provided follow-up for the development of the CPPCC in the new era.
He called for the provincial committee of the CPPCC to adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
He hoped that the Provincial CPPCC will improve its political judgment, political insight, and political execution, so as to better transform the advantages of the CPPCC system into the effectiveness of national governance.
Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, said that Jiangsu will thoroughly study and implement the important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour in Jiangsu, implement new development concepts, promote high-quality development, and build a new development pattern so as to promote the construction of a new Jiangsu to a new height.
He also expressed the pledge that the CPC Jiangsu provincial committee will implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the the central conference on the work of the CPPCC,strengthen the leadership of the CPC party committee over the work of the CPPCC, support and guarantee the work of the CPPCC, give better play to the important role of the CPPCC, and promote the CPPCC at all levels in the province to make new and greater contributions to the 14th five-year plan period and new journey of modernization.
Huang Lixin, chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said that the Provincial CPPCC will continue to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, and will take the initiative to pool wisdom and contribute strength to the promotion of modernization under the strong guidance of the CPPCC National Committee and the strong leadership of the Provincial Party Committee.
