Agreements on a total of 24 key projects, worth 19.44 billion yuan ($3 billion), were signed in Jiangsu Jiangyin Lingang Economic Development Zone on March 10.
The 24 signed projects cover many strategic emerging industries, such as new energy, new material, 5G communications, and technological innovation, aiming to help the development zone become more high-end and innovative.
Among the projects, Envision Group will spend 5 billion yuan on the second phase of its AESC smart battery project. A Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Jiangyin Storage and Distribution Peak Shaving Station, worth 2.5 billion yuan, as well as an LNG clean energy project, worth $200 million, will also be carried out.
Xu Feng, Party secretary of Jiangyin, said that Jiangyin Lingang Economic Development Zone plays an important role in the city's economic development.
Xu urged all the government departments to provide high-quality services for investors. Xu also invited more investors to seek more business opportunities in Jiangyin and to explore mutually beneficial cooperation together.
