East China’s Jiangsu province will promote its rural leisure and agriculture-based tourism for high-quality and high-efficiency agriculture and rural livability and rural industry, according to the plan on rural leisure and agricultural tourism plan released by the provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs on Thursday.
Third-party big data monitoring shows that in 2020, 75 rural tourism villages in Jiangsu received 85.297 million tourists, a recovery of 89.3% year-on-year. Popular tourism is becoming a trend, and rural tourism is also ushering in new development opportunities.
This year, Jiangsu will continue to promote the development of rural leisure tourism and agriculture-based tourism, promote 100 themed creative farms, 100 rural leisure tourism agricultural farming practice bases and 100 rural leisure tourism agricultural bases.
Efforts will be made to guide qualified business entities to participate in the launch of agricultural activity experience, create a leisure resort suitable for all ages, and expand agricultural business models and development functions.
