It’s the good time of spring season, Jiangsu province is grabbing farming time, actively organizing agricultural personnel, and using efficient agricultural machinery to strengthen wheat field management for spring plowing production.
These two days, Zhou Daobing, a major grain farmer in Houbai Town of Jurong City, is using an unmanned plant protection machine to carry out chemical weeding and spraying operations. He could complete the task covering 670 mu of wheat field in three days.
"If we use UAV for the weeding, we usually need ten hours to cover 250-300 mu. but if we use man power, we will at least take 5-6 days to finish the job and spend several thousand yuan." said by Zhou Daobing ,Grain farmer in Houbai Town of Jurong City.
The reporter learned from the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that in order to ensure the province's spring plowing preparation work carried out orderly, Jiangsu province has deployed advanced equipment at about 15 thousand sets, introduced more than 200 agricultural technical experts and volunteers into the field, and offers farm machinery equipment maintenance and operation guidance services. At present, the progress of wheat chemical weeding in the province is about 80%, and the proportion of type one and type two seedlings has reached the best level in recent ten years.
