The fourth annual session of the 12th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held the second plenary meeting on Wednesday.
Present at the meeting were Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Wu Zhenglong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Yang Yue, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, Guo Yuanqiang, Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee and Chen Jiangang, Secretary-General of the Provincial Government.
The executive chairpersons of the conference were Huang Lixin, Zhou Jianmin, Zhu Xiaojin, Hong Huimin, Ma Jianguo, Yan Li, Zhou Jiye, Wang Rongping, Hu Gang, and Yao Xiaodong.
Huang Lixin presided over the meeting.
The plenary speakers included Zhang Lixia, Wu Shengxing, Yang Ping, Li Shishou, Jiang Wei, Wu Xiaobei, Lu Yanqing, Lu Qiang, Zhang Yijun, Liu Yun, Zhou Haijiang, Zhou Weiqiang, Huang Weidong, Jiang Pengju, Gu Hande, Yi Zhongyi, Cao Lihong, Fan Gengsheng, Zhang Weidong, Zhao Keqiang, Ma Yongqing, and Wang Anshun.
Huang Lixin spoke highly of the CPPCC members' advice and suggestions on issues such as epidemic prevention and control, accelerating technological self-reliance, developing advanced manufacturing, deepening reform and opening up, promoting rural revitalization, strengthening ecological civilization construction, promoting the modernization of the provincial governance system, and ensuring and improving people's livelihood.
The opinions and suggestions put forward by the committee members are weighty, insightful, and valuable, Huang said, adding that they have provided a useful reference for the provincial party committee and the provincial government’s decision-making, reflected the sincere feelings of the committee members for development and the people’s livelihood, and demonstrates the vitality of the political consultation and democracy.
