The city of Zhenjiang in east China’s Jiangsu province has strived to promote the dual-circulation development paradigm to provide a stronger driving force for its economic development in the first year of the 14th five-year plan period.

The Great Wall Lemon Hybrid transmission rolled off the assembly line in the Zhenjiang Yangzhong-based Honeycomb Yichuang Industrial Park, marking the independent replacement of the core assembly of domestic new energy vehicles.

The project was completed and put into production within 16 months and rolled off the assembly line an engine in 45 seconds by overcoming the difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic control and flood control seasons, completing the plan beyond schedule, and refreshing the construction speed of Zhenjiang's major projects.

In 2020, Zhenjiang signed contracts totaling over 100 million yuan, setting a new high in recent years. The city has continued to increase its innovation capabilities with 322 projects listed in the national and provincial science and technology plans, its output value of high-tech industries on steady rise and the industrial structure being optimized.

Standing at a new starting point, Zhenjiang will insist on strengthening economic development with industrial development, promote integrated development through innovation, integrated into the industrial chain of the Yangtze River Delta, and pinpointing its position in the regional industrial system.

In the future, from Nanjing Xianlin to Zhenjiang Guantang, an "innovation corridor" will be created with unobstructed transportation, excellent ecology, leading technological innovation, and promoting industrial collaboration.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Zhenjiang will actively integrate into the national and provincial modern industrial system layout, and build a "4+X" landmark industrial cluster system around high-end equipment manufacturing, life and health, digital economy, and new material industries.

By 2025, Zhenjiang's advanced manufacturing cluster will strive to register 150 billion yuan, 100 billion yuan and 80 billion yuan from prime operating revenues.
