East China’s Jiangsu province will make further efforts to crack down on organized crimes by implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and the policies and decisions made by the provincial party committee and the provincial government, according to a meeting held on Thursday. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lou Qinjian and Governor Wu Zhenglong sent written messages. Wang Like, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, addressed the meeting.

 Lou Qinjian asked relevant departments to implement the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, implement various policies and decisions of the Party Central Committee on the crackdown on organized crimes, and ensure victory in the fight against mafia-like organizations with a high degree of political consciousness, strong responsibility, and pragmatic work measures.

Wu Zhenglong demanded more measures in the fight against organized crimes to ensure victory in the final analysis. 

141 mafia-like organizations and 485 gangs have been destroyed across the province. 

96% of the people in Jiangsu have given favorable ratings to the crackdown on organized crimes.

Wang Like pointed out that relevant departments in various places must adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continue to thoroughly implement the policies and decisions of the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Government on the crackdown on organized and gang-related crimes, and resolutely win the struggle with a more vigorous fighting spirit and a strong offensive.
