East China’s Jiangsu province reported 30.66 million vehicle trips during the 8-day holiday that ended on Thursday, setting a historic high.
Toll gates across the province registered a daily flow of 3.83 million vehicles during the holiday, up 14.02% from a year ago. On October 1st alone, 4337700 expressway vehicle trips were recorded across the province. The traffic control department strengthened measures to ensure traffic safety, significantly improving traffic order and efficiency. During the holiday, the transport authorities established party member vanguard teams, party member commando teams and volunteer service teams to provide services for passing drivers and passengers. Expressway service stations attracted passengers with a rich array of goods and foods.
