Shihu Lake

With nine bridge openings, the Xingchun Bridge (行春桥) was built in Shihu Lake Scenic Area (石湖景区). On the day of Mid-autumn Festival every year, visitors can see the moon reflected on the lake from each opening, thus making the bridge famous for this wonderful view of “a string of nine moons”.

The Master-of-Nets Garden

The Yuedao Fenglai Pavilion (月到风来亭, literally means the moon comes to the pavilion with breeze) in the Master-of-Nets Garden can be rated as the best place in Suzhou to gaze at the full moon. Being a little higher than other land there, the pavilion is surrounded by the pond on three sides and a big mirror was hung in its center. Every time when the bright moon shines in the sky, you can see three moons respectively in the water, mirror and sky, which is amazing.

Jinji Lake

The Jinji lake has quite a unique charm at night. The Li Gong Di Mid-lake Pavilion (李公堤湖心亭), Moon Harbor (月光码头), Suzhou Culture and Arts Center (苏州文化艺术中心) are also good alternative places for you to enjoy the moon today.

Xietang Ancient Street

Xietang Ancient Street is a less-known one among other Jiangnan water town streets. You can either take a seat at a snack bar or lean against the balustrades on the bridge to enjoy the moon.

Besides the full moon, you can taste tea and mooncakes here and have a sweet night in this Jiangnan water town.
