Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Cooperation and Investment Company (JOCIC) held a webinar on Monday with Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) in United Arab Emirates to attract more Chinese businesses to the Middle East, further boosting bilateral cooperation.
The webinar attracts more than 300 business representatives from Jiangsu and other parts of the country. Leaders from the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Cooperation and Investment Company, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Khalifa Industrial Zone introduced the relevant policies of investing in the Middle East and the advantages of the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone.
9月22日下午，江苏省海外合作投资有限公司联合阿联酋哈利法工业区召开了主题为“中东和阿联酋：中国企业战略新机遇”的线上招商会。来自江苏省发改委、江苏海投公司、阿布扎比投资办公室、哈利法工业区的相关负责人针对中国企业“走出去”的相关政策以及中阿（联酋）产能合作示范园的优势做了推介。超过三百位来自江苏和全国各地的企业代表参与在线交流。
Zheng Yimin, President of JOCIC, said in her opening speech that the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone, located in the Khalifa Industrial Zone, is an important cooperation project of the "Belt and Road Initiative" between the two countries. The Demonstration Zone is led by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and constructed and developed by JOCIC.

Samir Chaturvedi, Chief Executive Officer of KIZAD made a speech entitled "China – UAE: A Strategic Partnership Driving Economic Prosperity". He said that the relations between the two countries have developed steadily in the past 36 years, and economic and trade exchanges have become closer and closer. In recent years, China and UAE have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, and the bilateral exchanges have entered the best period in history. The China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone bears great significance in promoting practical cooperation between the two sides under the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative."

Cheng Haiyan, director of the "Belt and Road Initiative" Development Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, made a brief introduction to the support policies for Chinese enterprises to invest in UAE. "The Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial 'Belt and Road Initiative' Office are willing to build bridges between the governments of the two countries and provide supporting policies and services for Chinese enterprises to invest in the UAE, especially in the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone," she said.

"Secondly, we are also exploring financial support including equity investment and industry investment fund to help enterprises solve financial problems," Huang said. The China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone is located in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Industrial Zone. In July 2017, the Demonstration Zone was officially signed. At present, eight manufacturing projects have been signed with an estimated investment of 3.4 billion yuan. By the end of this year, the Demonstration Zone will build a total of 80,000 square meters of buildings, 8.5km roads and pipes with a total investment of nearly 800 million yuan. The total investment will exceed 10 billion yuan after the completion of its 2.2 square kilometer initiating zone.
中阿产能合作示范园位于阿联酋阿布扎比哈利法工业区内。2017年7月，中阿产能合作示范园正式签约。目前已签约制造业项目8个，建成后预计投资额34亿元人民币。预计到今年年底，示范园将累计建成建筑物约8万平方米、道路和管网等基础设施8.5公里，共计投资近8亿元。根据估算，在2.2平方公里启动区全部建成后，园区基建和企业投资总额将累计突破100亿元。
