Shortly after Suzhou’s first VR guide system was introduced by Suzhou Rail Transit (SRT) Line 4 Hongzhuang Station (红庄站), a “360 Degree VR Guided Ride” was recently put into operation at SRT Line 3 Tangzhuang Station (唐庄站) for the convenience of passengers.
SRT Line 3 Tangzhuang Station is the city’s only station with split-island platforms: station entrance on B1 and platforms on B2 and B3; the trains bound for Suzhou Xinqu Railway Station (苏州新区火车站) arrive on B2 and the ones bound for Weiting Station (唯亭) arrive on B3. The station structure is complicated compared with the others. SRT Line 4 Hongzhuang Station is also a transfer station as the trains that depart from Muli Station may take Hongzhuang Station as a temporary terminal.

To better serve the public and help the passengers to find the exit or go in the right direction quickly, both Tangzhuang Station and Hongzhuang Station have equipped themselves with the “360 Degree VR Guide” system. By scanning the corresponding QR code, passengers can access the VR system, choose the entrance/exit and direction and then easily find their way out.
