On September 11, Huang Qin, Secretary of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, announced the official launching of the Jiangyin Campus of Nanjing University of Science and Technology. Zhang Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, delivered a speech. Fu Mengyin, President of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, attended the launching ceremony. Benoît Guidée, Consul General of France in Shanghai, delivered a speech. And President of ENIM and Vice President of University of Lorraine delivered video speeches. Hu Xuetong, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and leaders of Wuxi Mr. Lu Zhijian, Mr. Hua Boya and Ms. Gao Hui attended the event.
The Jiangyin Campus of Nanjing University of Science and Technology adopts an international school-running approach, with teaching and scientific research institutions such as the Sino-French School of Engineers, the School of Cyberspace Security, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of New Energy, the School of International Education, the Basic Teaching and Experimental Center, the Zhidao Academy, the Dingxin Research Institute, the Industrial Internet Research Institute and the School of Jiangyin, as well as powerful teaching staff. The Jiangyin Campus can accommodate around 10,000 people. At present, the first batch of 2,360 freshmen has registered.
At the event, the Jiangyin Municipal People’s Government and Nanjing University of Science and Technology signed the Yangtze River Delta (Jiangyin) Digital Innovation Port Strategic Cooperation Agreement. The two parties will jointly build a digital innovation port in the Yangtze River Delta (Jiangyin) by relying on the manufacturing advantages of Jiangyin and the scientific and educational talents of Nanjing University of Science and Technology and aggregate global talents, technologies and capitals by taking the industrial chain, innovation chain, technology chain, talent chain, capital chain and cultural chain as the tie. Therefore, they will form a digital industry ecosystem dominated by industrial Internet and build a high-quality growth pole, a source of vitality and innovation and a new digital highland in Jiangyin and Wuxi.
