As part of the 2nd Jiangnan Culture and Arts & International Tourism Festival, the 21st China·Suzhou Tiger Hill Traditional Chinese Opera Festival will kick off at Suzhou Tiger Hill Scenic Area on Sept. 12.
In addition to the traditional activities, the festival features special performances for college students and young people and offers performing and makeup training sessions for amateurs. Its participants come not only from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, but also from the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Japan. This year’s event will be participated in by about 200 performers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.
