402 teams from 109 universities across the country brought their innovative designs to the finals of the 15th China Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition, which opened at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology on Wednesday.
This year's competition covers multiple application fields such as industry, transportation, energy, and medical care.
With a view to providing solutions to the potential safety hazards of children being trapped in the car, the team from Anhui University of Science and Technology designed this "driving caregiver" intelligent alarm system.
"When we detect that someone is trapped in the car,the car alarm will sound to remind pedestrians.When the temperature inside the car exceeds a preset value set by the programsuch as 35 degrees or 40 degrees,we will sound the system's secondary alarm remind the car owner by calling or sending a message and the car windows will be automatically lowered to inject fresh ai."said Su Shuxian, Postgraduate of Electrical Engineering, Anhui University of Science and Technology.
Many designs are developed around the theme of the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Liu Kang, a postgraduate of Electronic and Communication Engineering from Nanjing University of Information Technology,designed a machine to detect physical condition, which people only need to put hand in the pulse oximetry probe, and then tie the chest strap to body, and breathing, body temperature, pulse rate and blood oxygen can be measured within a minute or two. These four indicators are closely related to respiratory diseases.
The doctor uses some physiological data uploaded by the user to determine whether you need to go to the hospital for further examination.
"We take the cultivation of high-quality talents with innovative consciousness and entrepreneurial ability as the fundamental task and goal of university talent training,so that more students can participate in the competition and promote the mutual innovation of their knowledge and practice."said Li Beiqun President of Nanjing University of Information Technology.
During the competition, innovation forums, job fairs and other activities will also be held. 27 companies will provide more than 600 job vacancies to encourage the participants for business startups with entrepreneurship and housing subsidies.
