Ren Zhenhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, called for sustained growth in rural development with higher-level quality through the implementation of major investment projects. He made the remarks when going on an inspection tour Wednesday in Xuyi County.
In order to promote increased investment in agricultural and rural development, Jiangsu took the lead in launching the construction of major agricultural and rural projects by kicking off the construction on 283 major agricultural and rural projects in March.
Ren Zhenhe visited the site of the Wen's Million Live Pig Deep Processing Project in Xuyi County to learn more about the basic situation of the project, investment and construction progress, development, and operation management mode.
Ren Zhenhe pointed out that for project construction delayed due to the impact of the epidemic, we must find ways to get back the delayed construction period and ensure the quality and safety of project construction so that the project will be put into production as soon as possible.
He inspected the site of the Guo’er edible fungus project in Xuyi County to learn about the construction progress and the investment output of the project.
Ren Zhenhe emphasized that to promote agricultural and rural development, it is necessary to demonstrate the advantages of agricultural resources, highlight characteristics and brands, cultivate large enterprises, and extend the industrial chain.
The Baoneng Fresh Xuyi Processing Base started trial production in June. Ren Zhenhe inspected all aspects of seasoned crayfish production such as the lobster washing area, steaming and frying area, and production area. He observed the processing process and hoped that the company will adhere to quality standards and produce safe and quality-assured products.
The deputy secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee was pleased to be informed that the project has the capacity to process 8,000 tons of crayfish, with a total output value of nearly 200 million yuan, creating jobs for about 800 people.
When inspecting the Xuyi Crayfish Entrepreneurship Institute, Ren Zhenhe emphasized enterprises should shoulder social responsibilities more than attaching importance to economic benefits, adding that industrial development must not only be market-oriented, but also prop up people's income.
