Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, met Tuesday in Nanjing with Wang Dongjin, chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation Ltd or CNOOC for short. Both parties reached consensuses on many issues and conducted extensive exchanges on deepening and expanding cooperation in the future.
Lou Qinjian and Wu Zhenglong thanked CNOOC for its care and support for Jiangsu's development. Lou Qinjian said that Jiangsu's high-quality development is inseparable from high-quality energy guarantees.
He hoped that the two sides will further promote complementary advantages, strengthen practical cooperation in energy security, ecological environment protection, clean energy and other fields, plan a number of major projects during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and achieve new and greater development in better serving the national development strategy.
Wang Dongjin expressed his gratitude to Jiangsu for supporting CNOOC's development in Jiangsu. He said that CNOOC Group has attached great importance to its development in Jiangsu and will increase investment in Jiangsu to develop clean energy, help Jiangsu's economic transformation and upgrading, and contribute more to the construction of a new Jiangsu.
