East China’s Jiangsu province signed on Monday a strategic cooperation agreement with China Everbright Group. Before the signing ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Lou Qinjian and Governor Wu Zhenglong met with Li Xiaopeng, chairman of China Everbright Group.
Lou Qinjian and Wu Zhenglong expressed their gratitude to Everbright Group for its long-term contributions to Jiangsu's economic and social development.
Lou Qinjian said that since the start of this year, Jiangsu has conscientiously implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and the policies and decisions of the CPC Central Committee, strived for steady progress while maintaining stability, and went all out to ensure stability on the six fronts and security in the six areas and strive to support the overall situation of the development across the country.
Lou and Wu hoped that both parties will give full play to their respective advantages, make innovative efforts in cooperation methods, carry out all-round and in-depth cooperation, strive to build industry benchmarks, and achieve new and greater development in the new development pattern.
Li Xiaopeng thanked Jiangsu Province for its care and support for Everbright Group's investment and development in Jiangsu， adding that Everbright Group will give full play to its own unique advantages, continue to increase investment in Jiangsu, better serve and help the construction of a new Jiangsu.
According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship in the fields of comprehensive finance, technological innovation, ecological environmental protection, cultural tourism, and health care industry for mutual benefit and shared development.
