13 enterprises from Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Suzhou and Wuxi made the list of China Unicorn Enterprises in 2019, the provincial department of science and technology said recently. China has 218 unicorn companies in 2019, with an average valuation of 3.65 billion U.S. dollars, according to the "2019 China Unicorn Enterprise Development Report" released recently. These enterprises are distributed in 28 cities across the country. The 13 Jiangsu enterprises on the list are engaged in 12 fields including industrial Internet, sports technology, and e-commerce. As an important engine for Jiangsu to promote the development of the new economy, these unicorn companies have demonstrated the latest vitality of innovation and entrepreneurship in Jiangsu.
