  8月2日零时,苏州重启“昆山专班”,外事、卫健、交通、公安等部门工作人员在昆山花桥中转基地,开展经上海机场入境来苏人员接转工作,严防疫情自境外输入。

Suzhou convened a conference yesterday (August 1) on the transfer arrangements for travelers entering China via airports in Shanghai, according to which the operation of Kunshan Transfer Work Team shall be officially resumed as of today to carry out “7+7” transfer mode in accordance with relevant regulations.

With members from such departments as Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal Government, Suzhou Municipal Health Commission, Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Transportation, Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Public Security, etc., Kunshan Transfer Work Team took the lead on July 31 to enter Huaqiao Town, Kunshan City, where the transfer base is located.

To strictly guard against the imported COVID-19 cases and further guarantee an organized and efficient operation of the transfer work, Kunshan Transfer Work Team has made adequate preparations and conducted an on-site transfer drill at the base yesterday.

According to the coordinated arrangements of the central leadership and in light of the requirements of the joint mechanism for foreign-related COVID-19 prevention and control in the Yangtze River Delta, Jiangsu-bound travelers who have entered China via airports in Shanghai will be transferred for quarantine and health observation starting from 00:00 today (August 2).

Jiangsu-bound travelers entering China via airports in Shanghai will be transported by dedicated vehicles to designated hotels for quarantine and health observation after their information has been collected and put on record by Shanghai city. Sampling and nucleic acid testing will be carried out by Shanghai on the fifth day of quarantine.

Those tested negative will be transferred from quarantine sites in Shanghai to the Kunshan Transfer Base by dedicated staff and vehicles of Jiangsu Province in a seamless and hermetic manner when their seven-day quarantine period  is over.

Governments of the cities under the provincial government will pick up travelers bound for their respective cities at the Kunshan Transfer Base and transport them by dedicated staff and vehicles in a seamless and hermetic manner to their destinations where they will be put under isolated health observation for another seven days as follow-up prevention and control steps.

Suzhou Foreign-related Pandemic Prevention and Control Work Team has so far transferred 6,092 travelers and completed the former pandemic prevention and control work in a satisfactory way.

As the Port Team of Suzhou Foreign-related Joint Prevent and Control Headquarters regrouped its Kunshan Transfer Work Team, districts (cities) within Suzhou municipality has also optimized their own work teams with members from local departments such as foreign affairs office, health commission, transportation bureau, public security bureau, etc., in a bid to facilitate the operation of “7+7” transfer mode and to cooperate with the follow-up quarantine and prevention and control measures.
