East China’s Jiangsu province has revved up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to ensure the fulfillment of this year’s goals for social and economic development.
The Putaoling Tunnel on the Yixing-Changxing Express was connected on Tuesday, signaling the first time that an expressway was joined up through a tunnel between Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
The 2.5-km-long two-hole separated tunnel was dug from both ends at the same time, shortening the construction period.
The total length of the Jiangsu section of the Yixing-Changxing Expressway is about 25.5 kilometers.
