In the scorching summer days, your garden tour will become super cool if you have the company of ice cream!
To add some summer-only elements to your garden tour, Suzhou Gardens have introduced a garden series of ice cream, which are available in such three classic flavors as milk, strawberry and chocolate. Which one will be your cup of tea?
Suzhou Gardens Milk Ice Cream
The ice cream in milk flavor takes the shape of Guanyun Peak (冠云峰) in the Lingering Garden (留园). Located on the east of the garden, Guanyun Peak is one of the best-known rockeries in Suzhou Gardens, which is made from the rocks taken from the Taihu Lake. With a towering top, the peak looks like a crown from afar, thus it was named “Guan Yun” (with the cloud being the top, 冠云).
The Guanyun ice cream is made from fresh milk and thus has a good taste. It will bring you some unique coolness if you have a bite of the ice cream and just wait it to melt in your mouth!
Tiger Hill Pagoda Strawberry Ice Cream
The seven-story Tiger Hill Pagoda (or more officially the Yunyan Pagoda, 云岩寺塔) is octagonal in plan and was built with a masonry structure. It measures 48.2 meters in height and boasts a long history. The pagoda gradually slanted due to the forces of nature and it consequently gained the reputation of “the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the Orient”. Now the Tiger Hill Pagoda has become a famous landmark of Suzhou Old Town Area.
As can be seen from the picture, the strawberry ice cream looks like the pagoda back in the Tiger Hill Scenic Area and more importantly, the mix flavor of milk and strawberry will surely refresh you with a doubled coolness.
The Humble Administrator’s Garden Chocolate Ice Cream
The chocolate ice cream drew its inspiration from the Jianshan Tower (见山楼) at the Humble Administrator’s Garden. Situated at the northwest corner of the central pond, the tower is really a good place to enjoy the summer breeze.
This chocolate ice cream takes the shape of reliefs and is sweet in flavor.
