Gusu District Children’s Art Museum goes into operation

In celebration of the International Children’s Day, Gusu District Children’s Art Museum officially started operation on June 1. 

  Covering an area of nearly 550 square meters, the art museum is a comprehensive facility capable of giving exhibitions and small-scale performances. As a gift from the society to the younger generation, the city’s children now have a new place to embrace art and a new stage to show their talents.

  Besides, Regulations on Domestic Garbage Sorting in Suzhou also went into effect starting today. To spread the idea of environmental protection across the general public, Suzhou Gusu District Children’s Palace organized the 2nd Pupils Labor Skills Demonstration 2020 last month.

The event saw students from 43 primary schools work out innovative ideas to turn waste into treasures.

  They have made many a daily-use articles and artworks of various kinds. Besides a variety of Suzhou-style minimodels to present Gusu 8:30pm Food Street, Suzhou Museum, Tiger Hill Tower, Gate of the Orient, you can also find a garbage bin using ultrasonic sensor and a smart bin for food waste, all designed and produced by the students. In so doing, the little makers and their parents have familiarized themselves with the ways to classify domestic garbage.
