A provincial government executive meeting was held on Wednesday to be briefed on the special programs to address construction engineering, urban gas supply and special equipment safety as well as the advancement of the reform of the approval system for construction projects in Jiangsu. The special programs to address production safety in Jiangsu is an important instruction given by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the arrangements made by the State Council, hence an important political task that Jiangsu must resolutely complete, said a statement released after the meeting.
Great importance should be attached to construction engineering, urban gas supply and special equipment safety in the promotion of the special programs to address production safety, the statement said.
Departments at all levels should take measures to investigate hidden risks in pipeline natural gas and liquefied gas cylinders, boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, elevators, large-scale amusement facilities, passenger ropeways, cranes and forklifts so as to continuously improve the level of intrinsic safety, according to the statement.
In the process of addressing various major risks and hidden dangers, measures must be taken so as not to leave nothing unturned and eliminate the hidden dangers in the bud, the statement said.
Efforts should be made to use modern information technology and credit system construction to strengthen targeted measures and implement the responsibility system on the part of the party and government, the government departments and the enterprises, according to the statement.
The province will strive to win the victory of the special programs to address production safety so as to provide a strong guarantee for epidemic prevention and control, economic and social development, and the acceleration of the construction of a new Jiangsu, said the statement.
The reform of the project construction approval system is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, making it a focus in the transformation of government functions and the optimization of the business environment, the statement said.
Efforts must be made to improve the quality of the construction and operation of the approval management system, to stimulate vitality through reform, expand effective investment, further prevent risks, and make greater contributions to the overall development of the country.
