East China’s Jiangsu province has organized offline job fairs to help more people get employed for the resumption of work and production as the COVID-19 epidemic has waned across the country.

Human resources markets at all levels in Jiangsu have opened to the public amid strengthened epidemic prevention and control measures.

Job seekers were seen entering the Jiangbei New Area labor market at intervals by showing their health QR code.

The assistants in the labor market, who wore face masks, were seen organizing the orderly flow of the job seekers.

20 enterprises showed up to offer more than 700 vacancies in electric, apparatus, mechanics and clerks. The annual salaries offered on these vacancies vary from 60 thousand yuan to 100 thousand yuan.

535 job hunters showed up for the fair and 232 reached initial intent of employment.

The provincial department of human resources and social security has issued a circular demanding gradual resumption of job fairs so as to help more people land jobs to offset the aftermaths of the epidemic.

Human resources and social security authorities in Huai’an, Suzhou, Wuxi and Suqian have organized small-scale specialty job fairs to cater to varied demands on the job market.

In the meantime, Jiangsu has also continued with online job recruitment that will last until June 30.

1 million vacancies are expected to be made available for job seekers, in particular the fresh college graduates, migrant workers, urban laid-offs and the needy people.
