According to the Notice on the Opening of Spring Semester of Schools within Jiangsu Province, schools of all kinds and sizes within Suzhou can stagger the opening of spring semester in batches starting March 30, 2020, after approval of Suzhou Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Headquarters.
1. Qualified primary and middle schools (including special education schools and kindergartens) to stagger the opening of spring semester in batches:
1st batch: Middle and high school students of the third year can return to school on March 30;
2nd batch: Middle and high school students of the first and second year, primary school students of the fourth, fifth and sixth year can prepare to return on April 7;
3rd batch: primary school students of the first, second and third year, and students of kindergartens and special education schools can prepare to return on April 13.
2. Qualified secondary vocational schools to stagger the opening of spring semester in batches:
1st batch: Secondary vocational school students of the third year can return to schools on March 30;
2nd batch: Secondary vocational school students of the first and second year can prepare to return on April 7;
3rd batch: Students of higher vocational colleges can prepare to return on April 13.
3. Qualified international schools and Taiwanese Children Schools can open the spring semester after approval. Specific date of opening follows the arrangements above.
4. Universities in Suzhou can prepare to open the spring semester with April 13 being the starting day. Specific date of opening is subject to the latest notice of universities after approval of Jiangsu Education Department.
5. After middle and primary schools of Suzhou are fully reopened, extra-curricular training institutions and child-care institutions can make an application to local administration departments to resume the service. Those meeting requirements of epidemic prevention and control can resume the on-site training activities in an orderly manner.
Opening date of schools will take effect after approval of local novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control headquarters.
