East China’s Jiangsu province will step up its efforts to improve the public health emergency management system by following the instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinpig on Feb 14 when presiding over the 12th meeting of the central committee for deepening overall reform.
The decision to improve the public health emergency management system was made at the 11th meeting of the Provincial Committee for Deepening Overall Reform. The meeting was presided over by Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Committee for Deepening Overall Reform.
Lou Qinjian pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech has important and far-reaching significance for improving the major epidemic prevention and control system and making new deployments and new requirements for the national public health emergency management system.
Lou demanded more efforts to strengthen epidemic prevention and control, form an effective system to respond to major public health emergencies, and innovate and improve the major epidemic prevention and control systems and mechanisms.
