A new batch of medial works from Jiangsu Province will head for Wuhan City in Hubei Province to assist the battle against the COVID-19 epidemic on the afternoon of February 20.
The 178-strong team includes 52 physicians, 122 nurses, one technician and three administrative officers. They come from ten hospitals in Yancheng City and mainly specialize in respiratory health, infectious diseases and intensive care unit (ICU).
A special mechanism body on fighting the novel coronavirus outbreak under the State Council, China's Cabinet, issued a circular on February 18, calling for Jiangsu and other provinces to assist epidemic prevention and control work in Hubei. Jiangsu Health Commission then formed the new team to join the efforts.
