East China’s Jiangsu province has taken measures to facilitate exit and entry services amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, the provincial public security bureau said on Friday.
The Jiangsu Public Security Entry-Exit Administration has released seven measures for the application of visa and other entry-exit documents during the epidemic control so as to facilitate foreign-funded enterprises and expatriates in the process of production resumption.
The entry-exit administrations of public security provide 24-hour telephone consultation and appointment-based visa issuing services. Those in urgent need of visa services can make online appointment for pre-check.
The time required to process Chinese citizens' entry-exit documents and expatriates’ visa documents will be shortened within the promised time range. Visas will be issued on the same day the application is submitted provided that the applicant proves sufficient reasons.
Visa extensions can be issued on the same day the application is submitted even if the applicants are unable to provide supporting documents or certifications but they must submit a personal statement and promise to complete the materials within 1 month after the end of the epidemic.
Key foreign-related enterprises employing a large number of foreigners can accept the issuance of visa documents by virtue of their letter with the list of applicants. They do not need to provide materials that are kept in the file and can be queried through the system.
Applicants who are unavailable may entrust their employers or relatives to submit applications for visa extension, renewal, and reissue.
For minor illegal acts such as expired visas due to epidemic prevention and control, punishment shall be reduced, mitigated or exempted according to relevant regulations.
The visa application offices at entry-exit ports across the province allows enterprises with proof of resumption of work to complete the materials afterwards to ensure the resumption of work and guarantee the rapid entry of the workers.
