“The darkness only last until the dawn. The sun will soon be shining on your face. There’s light at the end of this tunnel we’re in and I can see I’m picking through……"

As the COVID-19 outbreak attracts the global attention, 50 musicians from 19 countries including Grammy-Award winners have collaborated to sing a cover of a ballad Together to show their support for China and for Wuhan. The ballad brings comfort and hope to Chinese people and has been played on major online platforms such as ifeng.com, sina.com.cn and china.com.cn. The composer of the ballad is Lu Zhongqiang, one of the key civilization talents of SND and also a celebrated musician and music producer.

The song was sung by over 50 cooperative musicians from “National Music Revival Campaign”, including US Grammy winner Sugar Blue, Blues Hall of Fame Guitarist Tom Frost and Cuban musical group Vocal Sampling. Such a multinational cooperation well embodies the borderless charm of music and it is Lu who brings all the music talents together.

The song was originally released six years ago and this time, the recreated ‘international version’ is chanted in multiple languages. Singers have overcome much inconvenience caused by the epidemic to make and record their own creations in studios around the world independently. All of them received merely sheet music, so they would have to create their own part and the lyrics were written in different languages. The ballad, sung in Chinese, English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese and other languages, reaches every corner of the world and brings its energy to every listener.
