In order to further improve the efficiency of prevention and control of COVID-19, Huai'an are implementing "Five Alls" accurate classification management for those who have fevers and coughs.
First, all patients with fevers are required to go to hospitals. All pharmacies should suspend their sales of cough and fever medicines, and temperature checks are conducted in all places. All patients with fevers are thus guided to 33 hospitals with fever clinics. Second, the personal histories of all patients in fever clinics are carefully recorded. Doctors with lecturer and professor titles from respiratory departments or infectious departments are arranged to carry out triages inquiring about the patients' personal histories such as their visits to the epidemic areas, past symptoms of fevers and coughs, close contacts with infected patients. The personal information of these patients are registered at the county level. These patients are isolated at their homes for two weeks, and their isolation is checked by the local government by implementing "four in one" policy. Third, chest radiographs are performed for all patients with fevers. Fourth, all patients with abnormal chest radiographs are arranged to stay in hospital for observation and treatment. Fifth, all isolated patients are tested for new coronavirus nucleic acid, and the patients with positive results are sent to designated hospitals by ambulance for centralized treatment.
