More than 2000 doctors and nurses from east China’s Jiangsu Province have been working hard in central China’s Hubei Province to help contain the novel coronavirus epidemic there.

44 doctors and nurses from 11 traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Jiangsu have started to treat infected patients at a mobile cabin hospital in Wuhan.

The Jiangxia Mobile Cabin Hospital has admitted 263 patients infected by the novel coronavirus. They will be treated by the doctors and nurses of traditional Chinese medicine from four provinces including Jiangsu. This is the first traditional Chinese medicine mobile cabin hospital.

The team of traditional Chinese medicine from Jiangsu has made progress in preventing mild cases from getting worse. They will also prescribe follow-up conditioning for the patients who will soon be discharged from the cabin hospital.

Wuhan has converted 11 venues, including gymnasiums, exhibition centers and sports centers, into makeshift hospitals to provide a total of over 10,000 beds.

The Jiangxia hospital was one of the three earliest cabin hospitals to be built in Wuhan to ease the shortage of beds with an increasing number of novel coronavirus pneumonia patients in the city.

162 doctors and nurses from the Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing have taken over two intensive care wards of the Wuhan No. 1 Hospital. 70 patients are hospitalized in the two wards, suffering from novel coronary pneumonia, diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

The doctors and nurses from Jiangsu are also working at the No. 1 Hospital of Jianghan District, Wuhan, where some critically infected patients will be discharged due to the intensive care from the medical staff.
