Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we are sorry to inform you the 11th Suzhou Jinji Lake Half Marathon has been postponed. For registered runners who apply to withdraw, their qualifications for the match will not be reserved and thus have to re-register and draw lots for the qualifications after the date is set
On 13th February, 2020, Organizing Committee of Suzhou Jinji Lake Half Marathon announced “the 11th Suzhou Jinji Lake Half Marathon”, originally scheduled for 15th March, will be postponed. The decision, made on the basis of current situation of COVID-19, aims to avoid a massive gathering and travelling of participants. The Organizing Committee stated that they would keep in touch with the government and relevant departments, and pay close attention to the epidemic situation. They will release a notice on the date as soon as they complete an assessment after the epidemic is over.
►Questions about numbers of participants and registration fee
The Organizing Committee responded that runners’ qualifications for the match would be reserved unconditionally if they choose to compete later. In addition, refunding channel will be opened in the near future for those who want to withdraw. For participants in Half Marathon, if they apply to withdraw, their qualifications for the match will not be reserved and thus have to re-register and draw lots for the qualifications after the date is set. For participants in Short Marathon, Mini Marathon and Parent-Child Running, if they apply to withdraw, they will also need to re-register and the number of participants is limited.
The recruitment of pacers, first-aid runners, performing teams and the collection of photographs, short videos and slogans are all suspended. List of recruited pacers and first-aid runners will be announced later.
