According to the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, 23 more cases of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (NCP) were confirmed in Jiangsu between 00:00 and 24:00, February 10, 7 of which were mild cases, and 16 moderate cases. 12 more have been cured and discharged from hospital.
Of the newly confirmed cases, 6 were in Nanjing, 4 in Wuxi, 3 in Xuzhou, 3 in Suzhou, 2 in Nantong, 2 in Lianyungang, and 3 in Taizhou. The oldest patient was 76, and the youngest, 9 months. 12 were male and 11, female. All are currently under treatment in designated hospitals.
As of 24:00, February 10, 515 cases have been reported in Jiangsu accumulatively, 34 of which are mild cases, 472 moderate cases, 6 severe cases and 3 in critical condition. 84 have been cured and discharged from hospital. Of the confirmed cases, 84 were in Nanjing, 45 in Wuxi, 63 in Xuzhou, 31 in Changzhou, 80 in Suzhou, 35 in Nantong, 37 in Lianyungang, 46 in Huai’an, 18 in Yancheng, 18 in Yangzhou, 12 in Zhenjiang, 34 in Taizhou, and 12 in Suqian. Of the severe cases, 1 was in Nanjing, 1 in Xuzhou, 1 in Suzhou, 1 in Nantong, 1 in Yancheng, and 1 in Zhenjiang. Of the cases in critical condition, 1 was in Xuzhou, 1 in Lianyungang and 1 in Huai’an. Of the cases cured and discharged, 22 were in Nanjing, 4 in Wuxi, 10 in Xuzhou, 6 in Changzhou, 13 in Suzhou, 5 in Nantong, 4 in Lianyungang, 5 in Huai’an, 3 in Yancheng, 3 in Yangzhou, 1 in Zhenjiang, 5 in Taizhou, and 3 in Suqian.
Of the traced 10,762 close contacts, 4,957 are still under medical quarantine and 5,805 have been released.
Experts urge the public to reduce outdoor activities, especially crowd gathering. Avoid using public transportation and open windows for ventilation when driving a private car. Do not go to public places with closed, limited space or poor ventilation, especially mahjong parlors. Avoid touching items in public places. Wear a mask when going out and wash hands first when back home. In case of symptoms like fever or cough, call 12320 for advice. Seek treatment in designated fever clinics when necessary and inform the medical staff of places you have been to in the previous 2 weeks.
