East China’s Jiangsu province will step up the investment in transportation infrastructures in 2020 by earmarking 157.6 billion for its annual transportation investment, up 15% year on year, according to a provincial working conference on transportation.
The section of the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang railway between Huai’an and Zhenjiang will be connected within the year. the section between Huai’an and Lianyungang was put into operation at the end of last year.
The bullet train services between Lianyungang and Xuzhou and Shanghai and Nantong will also be operational within the year.
The construction of the Yancheng-Nantong high speed railway will be accelerated for early operation.
The Yangtze River Bridge at Wufengshan, the Shanghai-Nantong Yangtze Bridge and the fifth Yangtze Bridge in Nanjing will be put into operation this year.
The expansion of the terminal building 1 at Lukou Airport will be fulfilled before the end of the year.
58 other transport infrastructure projects will break ground in various parts of the province within the year.
