On Dec. 1, the Suzhou Chinese Orchestra staged a marvelous concert at the Busan Cultural Center, which was the 4th performance of the orchestra attending the Korean International Music Festival.
As the finale of the concert, the musicians from Suzhou presented the audience with a wonderful performance of “Fantasy on Ganjiang and Moye”. The 4-part music piece is based on the folk legend of grand-master swordsmiths Ganjiang and Moye who are incarnations of love, righteousness and courage. This work has been selected into the Symphony of the Times--China Symphony Music Creation Support Program.
The concert attracted a large audience, including members of the Busan Korean Music Orchestra. Some audience made colorful biscuits with the Chinese character “乐” (music) for the musicians. Many music fans have watched all 4 concerts of the orchestra in Korea.
